Ekdalia Evergreen Club Sarbojanin Durgotsav

Ekdalia Evergreen Club Durga Puja is one of the top Durga pujas in the South Kolkata area. This Durga puja was established in the year 1943 and this year they are celebrating the 79th year of their Durga puja.

They keep it straightforward while making it worthwhile to attend each year. Every year Ekdalia Evergreen Club chose the theme of ancient paintings and reproductions of world heritage sites and they are simply mentioned in the inside and external design of the pandal.

Ekdalia Evergreen Club probably exhibited a theme based on a German village in 2011, the Golden Temple of Vellore in 2012, a traditional Indian temple in 2013, the Buddhist Temple (near Laos) of Thailand in 2015, the Minakshi Temple of Madurai in 2016, and the Brihadisvara Temple of Tanjore in 2018.

But what makes Ekdalia Evergreen Club Durga Puja so intriguing is that they continue to practice their ancient version of traditional Durga Pratima, which sets them apart from the other well-known Durga Pujas in Kolkata.
